September 13th- CHEYENNE

Five Love Languages for Children
2101 Thomes Avenue
(Senior Activity Center dining room) 7-8 pm  
Kids desperately need to know how much you love them.  But if you don’t know their special “love language”, you might as well be speaking gibberish.  Learn the love language of your child (ren) in this six week course. This course begins September 13th and ends on October 18th. This training is free.   

 

September 24th- CHEYENNE

Third Annual Family Night-Statewide Wyoming ’s First Lady Nancy Freudenthal is teaming up with partners from around the state to present the third annual Wyoming First Lady’s Family Night on September 24, 2007 .  This year’s Family Night event is designed to help families make the most of their time together.  Whether you’re cooking a gourmet meal or ordering food from your favorite take-out place, rest assured that what your kids really want at the dinner table is YOU!   Family meals are the perfect time to talk to your kids and to listen to what is on their minds.  To order your Family Night Kit call us at 866-WYO-FAMS or log onto www.wyofams.org click on Family Night 2007.

Love U2- Powell Branch Library
217 E. 3rd Street .  
This is a TEEN relationship course that covers subjects such as attraction, infatuation, rejection, falling in love, emotions, and breaking up.  Students also learn specific dating skills: what to say and do in the early stages, how to get to know someone, how to assess a relationship and avoid attachment to problem people.  You must be a teen in 8th to 11th grade to attend.  This course begins on September 26th and ends on November 7th. ONE TIME Registration Fee: $10 per student (to cover weekly snacks), non-refundable.  Fee can be waived … just ask!

 

 

September 27th
BUFFALO


Five Love Languages for Children-Saint
Luke’s Lutheran Church 7-8 pm  
Kids desperately need to know how much you love them.  But if you don’t know their special “love language”, you might as well be speaking gibberish.  Learn the love language of your child (ren) in this six week course. This course begins September 27th and ends on November 1st.  Registration Fee: $2 per week 
($12 for 6 weeks).

Designing Dynamic Stepfamilies
Cheyenne Community House, 
(Carey & Pershing).
 
Few challenges in life are more difficult than bringing the pieces of two broken families together.  Past hurts, high hopes, pre-existing relationships and different backgrounds can make this task incredibly tough.  Learn what to expect and what is normal for a stepfamily, reducing the pressure of unrealistic expectations.  This two day event will start on Oct. 5th from 6-8 pm with a pizza party kickoff and will continue Saturday Oct. 6th from 9 am to 3 pm . 
Registration Fee: $5 per person, non-refundable

5 Love Languages
Saint
Luke ’s Lutheran Church .  
This 4 hour workshop will teach participating couples how to learn, both their and their partner’s “Love Language”.  It is based on
Dr. Gary Chapman ’s book The Five Love Languages.  By participating in this workshop, couples will understand why they feel the way they do, and couples will learn indispensable methods for helping their spouse feel loved.  This will be an interactive, exciting and fun workshop, which uses real-life examples from Dr. Chapman ’s over thirty years of marriage counseling to illustrate the five distinct languages people use to express love.  The Five Love Languages can breathe life into marriages.  Registration Fee: $10 per couple, non-refundable (Lunch Included)

This class is for parents with children aged 5 – 12.  It’s a six-week interactive class that
Helps parents of children ages 5 to 12 raise responsible, cooperative children who are able to resist negative peer pressure—and thrive in the 21st century
