Artist Wanda J. Sanders was born in the small Colorado town of Walden .  Her grandparents were ranchers nearby at the headwaters of the Little Grizzly.  Many of her summers were spent at the ranch, helping her grandmother in her later years.

In grade school her family moved to the remote Wyoming town of Shirley Basin.  Her outdoorsy parents taught their children how to be self-reliant in the outdoors.  Her family spent many days together exploring the wonders of nature.

Creating visual art has always been a natural fit for Wanda.  Her work reflects her many days exploring the wonders of the natural world of the Rocky Mountains both as a child and now, as an adult.
